My girls....again.

Yep, more pics of my girls. (boys are coming up after this weekend) Last night I had a dream that really disturbed my sleep. Someone abducted Makenna while we were stopping at a small restaraunt for a pizza. It was so real it woke me from sleep and I stayed awake for quite a while. I hate that! I know most moms have these same worries but gosh I hate when it overwhelms the whole thought process and I almost get carried away with worry. I told her my story thinking it might be good for her to hear how sad it made me - she looked at me with that "is this story over yet" look!!!!! The nerve of her! Oh to be five and have no worries! So here they are, my girls and their personalities!

I have some fun stuff scheduled for this weekend and hopefully some new pics to share with you all! I have some model sessions scheduled and Saturday night we are going to a dance! Always love a date night - and conversation with adults is something I always look forward to!

He LOVES me!!!!!

Jean came home with a dozen roses for me last night. The rose in this pic broke off its stem so I decided it would be the lucky one for today's post. Just a mention about my love....Im so lucky to have him! If you know him, you know what I mean - just a good guy all around. He was my best friend for three years before we dated and taking that step was a hard choice because we didnt want to ruin the friendship we already had. I personally wanted to be closer because it was instant attraction for me but he took a while to come around. I cant believe how close we are in our relationship and we both feel so lucky to have such a bond. Here we are on our anniversary date last October. (used my self timer)MY GIFT TO YOU: I would like to help one couple celebrate their relationship/Valentines day by treating you and yours to a movie at Smitty's Cinemas! Tickets are for anytime you'd like to use them, not just for tonight - Did you know Smitty's is having a two for one dessert tonight - something to consider if you didn't give up sweets for Lent! Because this is a date for two, I will mail or deliver these to the SECOND person who emails me! I will update here when I have a winner!!!

My daughter is desperate.....

Yes....in her desperation to have her own pet (she has been hounding Jean for weeks to get a puppy with promises of keeping her room clean, not fighting with her brothers, feeding, watering, walking and cleaning any and all poop that falls from the dog's behind) Makenna found the only living creature in our house besides us humans - a ladybuy. She took it on a tour of the house, played as much as she could play with it and even named it Tiny. When lunch was over and it was time for her nap, Cameron offered to "release him to the wild". She handeled it well and I was proud. I just had to tell the ladybug story. It made for an interesting snow day! :)

Preparing for the big V-Day!

The scrapbooker in me cannot resist the urge to document this....it is the first year Makenna can write her own Valentines! I have a photograph of the boys doing this too :) Its like the first step to reading and a whole new world for them! I make the list of names all in caps and she copies them onto the cards. But she says each name as she's writing them. Im so proud of her accomplishments this year and I applaud her teacher, Mrs. Potter, for how wonderful she is with the kids. Kenna is still in preschool and each morning the kids go in, Mrs. Potter has their names written out in a dot-to-dot pattern. I could not get Makenna to learn to spell her name -but Mrs. Potter asks and Makenna is eager to please.

Gearing up for the love fest tomorrow....I might even have a Valentine's special on the blog. (hint hint)

A beautiful girl.

She's a little shy but so darned CUTE!! I really enjoyed meeting this mother and daughter looking for some photos to update her portfolio. I kept it simple so you could see her beautiful smile. Its amazing how much their faces light up when the smile is real! Thanks to new technology, with my digital camera I am able to show the kids the difference between their fake smile and their real smile right on the camera. Once they see how happy their faces really look when they aren't giving me that silly grin, they are soo good about trying to think of something funny to make the natural smile appear. She was awesome and I hope to meet her older brother sometime too! Thanks to her mom for giving me a call!
