Yesterday Maine was blessed with 55 degrees and sunshine all day (was actually like that both Saturday and Sunday...how lucky are we)!! We decided to take a drive to get out for a bit...our children are coming into the ages where traveling with them can be a chore sometimes but the promise of pier fries made the trip a bit less harried. Jean likes to ride down through Camp Ellis. Its a cove of sorts along the coast and when the storms kick up the seas, this little town really suffers the wrath of Mother Nature. The coast has eroded so much that there have been homes lost into the sea.
Yesterday though....I was glad I brought my camera (as always).....
You can still see small islands of snow in the water....
The birds were loving the low-tide.
On our way out on the one-way street through the tiny town, I saw this stairway (most homes are built higher than others here because of the water damage). I loved how welcoming all the buoy's looked and the colors were so awesome and inviting!
Mother Nature played a cruel trick on us - she gave us beautiful hopes of spring this weekend and today 3 inches of snow!!!! Its so unfair, just as the roads clear enough to go for a walk that isn't a mess to walk in, we get more snow!
Enjoy!
