Me time.

A few more pics from the spaghetti dinner. This one of the four of us was taken by Ms. Milburn, Cam's teacher. She sent it to me yesterday so I wanted to show us off.
As I was adding this pic of Marleigh here, she's standing next to me and says "That's me, that's Marleigh, sketti is deeeelicious" and then licked her chops.
Today I have some me time with my gal pals. The local Catholic school puts on a benefit bingo game and its become a tradition for us all to attend. One year I took home such great prizes it was amazing - I haven't won anything since! Later today I have a high school senior coming in for some portraits. She's agreed to represent me at her school so she gets a discount on her sitting and some prints! I'll post some photos of her tomorrow!

Last night I had to run to the camera shop in Portland for some equipment. I asked Jean if he was up for the ride and he agreed to go. We are usually always together for stuff like this and that's just how I prefer to do things, rather than alone. We treated the kids to Friendly's for dinner. Across the isle from us were two older ladies who giggled through their entire meal watching the drama at our table. Not that the kids were acting out - in fact at the end of our meal, they complimented us on how well behaved our children are. (**I beamed with pride**) Marleigh is just not quiet at all but she does says the funniest things. At one point, Cam announced he had to poop and it couldn't wait....he assured me he would put paper on the toilet before sitting. At his announcement, Marleigh chimed in that she had to potty too..so off I went! She likes to pee whereever we go! Next, we were sitting on the bench seat of a booth and my purse was on the seat when it fell on the floor under the table...EEWWWW.....I had to crawl under the table and scoop up the contents. I try so hard to look like I've got it all together and there I am on a discusting floor scooping up my hand sanitizer, tampons, some loose change, tons of old receipts and an old covergirl compact that has a sticker on it from the Family Dollar store! Yeah, Im a class act!

I felt like handing the ladies my business card and directing them here to my blog for an encore presentation of a day in the life of the Roys. I've been thinking I need to change the title page of my blog to something more about my personal life because I write way more about my gang than I do the studio. I'll have to think about that....if you have any suggestions on a creative title for my blog, shoot them my way!

I've been thinking about having some T'shirts made to give away to friends and readers. Just some silly shirts like those ones that say "Im blogging this" or maybe something with my studio name printed really small on it. I just dont know if they are something I could give away or would I have to pay people to wear them? I'd love to have something fun! Since my brother Bryan owns the screenprinting business ImagePro Screen Print & Design (a plug for him) his website is: http://www.uwantitwear.com/ I figure I should bug him for some shirts to donate to the freebie friday! My brother Bud owns Bud's Overhead Doors and when he was designing shirts for his business, his slogan is "Hung with Pride" catchy huh? :-) I suggested he have a caveman with lots of wild hair and a naked bottom hanging from a garage door as his logo. He didn't go for it. Then when Bryan started the screenprint business, I tried talking him into using the naked bottom caveman for his shirts and thought he should start a trend with "Co-ed Naked Caveman" as a series of shirts....but he didn't go with it either. So...they tease me about the caveman and tell me I should be using it! Imagine....a photographer with a naked bottom caveman logo.....I'd have the cops knocking on my door looking for kiddie porn! So Im working on a design that's as classy as me.....the lady on all fours under the table at Friendly's. Im open to suggestions!! (Kendra, I know you will come up with something catchy - send it on baby....she likes to pick on me about my child who steals snacks from the poor!)
Well, my "me time" begins shortly so Im going to hit the treadmill for a bit, shower and then Im off for the day. I'll be back tomorrow with photos!!
Have a great day!!!!!
